Every item booked at a computer counter gets its own barcode number.

International EMS numbers

13 Characters (e.g. EE123456789PK)

Used for express and parcel mail going to or from other countries.

Domestic UMS Barcode Format

Used for UMS and other items booked at a computer counter.

Do not mix up your tracking number with a postcode. A Pakistan postcode has 5 digits and shows the delivery area. It is the same for every item going to that address. A tracking number is only for one item. Always write the postcode on the address, and use the tracking number to track. A correct postcode helps stop your item going to the wrong place.

Express Mail Service (EMS) is Pakistan Post’s fast service for parcels and documents going abroad. For EMS tracking in Pakistan, type your 13-character number (for example starting EE or CP and ending PK) into the box above. Pakistan Post International Tracking Number

Format: for example EE123456789PK or CP123456789PK. This is the international format used for Pakistan Post parcels to and from other countries.

International Speed

It depends a lot on customs in the other country once the item leaves Pakistan. We have not found an official time we could check, so ask Pakistan Post for an estimate for your route.

International parcel tracking uses the same number format. If your EMS tracking shows nothing yet, the item may not have been processed at the international mail office. Check again later before you contact support.

How Pakistan Post Prices Work

Pakistan Post prices are set by weight. Each type of mail has a price for the first weight band, then a set charge for each extra band. Extras such as registration, insurance or cash on delivery cost a fixed amount on top.

Ordinary Surface Post

Paid with stamps and priced by weight. You get no tracking barcode or counter receipt.

Registered Post

Normal postage plus a fixed registration fee. You get a barcode and proof of delivery.

Urgent Mail Service (UMS)

Priced by weight, with a first weight band and a charge for each extra band. Parcels can weigh up to 30 kg.

Heavy Domestic Parcels

Priced by weight, up to the limit the counter accepts.

Pakistan Post Tracking Not Working? Common Problems

Why is tracking not updating?

Mail bags are not scanned while they travel between sorting centres. A new scan appears when they reach the next GPO.

Why does it show “Article Not Found”?

Items booked late in the afternoon may only show up after the evening mail is sorted.

Standard Postal Counter Policy:

You usually pay the postman the exact cash and sign before you open the parcel. For problems with what is inside, contact the sender or seller.

The item could not be delivered and is going back to the post office where it was booked, to be returned to the sender.
